About The Artist

Mia Palmer

Mia Palmer is a contemporary painter based in Dubai, originally from Southeast London.

Her work is rooted in a lifelong obsession with the human mind — specifically, the gap between who we are and who we are capable of becoming. Drawn to the psychology of perception, subconscious belief, and personal transformation, Mia’s paintings visualise the internal world that most people never show — the ambition, the doubt, the quiet knowing that something bigger is possible.

The women in her work are never finished. You catch them mid-transformation, carrying the weight of everything they are shedding and everything they are becoming simultaneously. They are painted in layers because that is the truth of a human being — complex, textured, and impossible to read in a single glance.

Mia’s practice is deeply connected to her own ongoing study of mindset, self-perception, and inner potential. Books on the subconscious mind, limiting beliefs, and the mechanics of human transformation sit alongside her paints in the studio. She noticed something: she could read the same book twice and have a completely different experience — not because the words changed, but because she had. Her paintings work the same way. They hold still. You move.

Since relocating to Dubai in 2025, Mia has completed over ten commissions, held her first UAE exhibition, received press coverage across UAE media, and begun collaborating with interior designers placing work in luxury residential and commercial spaces across the city. She works with collectors, interior designers, galleries, and institutions seeking work that commands space and creates emotional impact.

Celebrity commissions include works for Maura Higgins, Aitch, and Olivia Attwood.
